Introduction

I am a beach girl living in the mountains with a beach boy who also lives in the mountains. Mountains are cheap, beaches are expensive. But we still long for them. Soon enough, we will be a beach family. I can't wait! It is going to be so much fun hanging out on the beach with the girls. I grew up going to the beach on weekends and weekdays when my mom had a day off. I loved it. (The only time I ever ditched an entire day of school, I went to the beach. An hour of detention for a day in the sun - totally worth it!)

Poor Ali had never been to the beach until last week. Like countless children before her, she got right to digging and didn't want to leave after the sun had set and we were freezing!

PS - My mom still hasn't gotten over me ditching school. She still brings it up.
Probably because I yelled out a guilt ridden "I love you!" before heading out the door. It should have been a big clue for her, but she just thought I was being nice I guess.
PPS - We went to the beach on Jimmy's birthday. The picture of he and Ali is his official birthday portrait. :)
